Kathryn Gilbert, DVM

Originally from Syracuse, Dr. Gilbert’s deep interest in veterinary medicine began when she lived in Oslo, Norway for several years. There, she dedicated herself to caring for felines at a cats-only shelter and assisted exotic animal veterinarians at a local zoo. 

Upon returning to the US, Dr. Gilbert earned her veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University (OSU) in 2023. While at OSU, she developed a keen interest in radiology, where she conducted research studies with radiologists on CT scans of exotic animals. Dr. Gilbert joined the NYCH team in 2024 and is eager to provide the highest level of medical care for your feline families. 

Outside her professional endeavors, she finds joy in horseback riding and spending time with her tortie cat Beans.
